Haha haha haha haha ha ha ha!

I'm not usually a fan of Americans coming in here and buying our companies, but I am heartily amused when a rich American buys the biggest football club and then ruins everything it stands for to make a crapload of money out of the poor deluded fans.

I was always the last person picked for football at school. I don't mind playing it occasionally (i.e kick around), but fucking hell it's boring to watch.

Man Utd's players will have to play an annual exhibition match in Florida to increase revenues.

Ha! Pwnd!

Can't help but laugh... by Alice Pulley (2.00 / 0) #1 Fri Jun 10, 2005 at 03:54:38 AM EST
...even though the last time I laughed at another team (Chelsea/Arsenal/Cole) it immediately backfired (Chelsea/Tottenham/Arnesen).

I hear that they are going to offshore the midfield and defence to India to save money.

with his 50% pay hike, still cheaper than Chelski's prices.

The exhibition match isn't that bad, they play exhibition matches in the states and the far east anyway.

The GBP 25 million cap on transfers is probably the worst thing as that will stop them competing with Chelsea and hopefully get sucked ito a cycle of decline ending in a Leeds type scenarion.

plans for Manchester United reportedly include ticket price rises and a spending limit of £25m a year on player transfers.

Awww. Diddums. Bwess their widdul hearts. Now they only get three times as much to spend as the average Premiership club. I'm weeping, really.

Nope. A mean. by yicky yacky (2.00 / 0) #9 Fri Jun 10, 2005 at 07:53:00 AM EST

I'm assuming, of course, that the big 3/4/5 don't technically count as being in the Premiership, but I could be wrong.
